VLCF Funded Projects

Virginia’s working farms and forests, battlefields and other historic sites, natural areas, parks and rivers are critical to its economy, culture and quality of life. The interactive map below depicts VLCF-grant projects funded since 2000.

The mapped site supports 29 documented natural heritage resources, including three found nowhere else in the Commonwealth (Irreplaceable), and four that are extant at only two locations in the Commonwealth (Critical). This property has been a long-standing protection priority for over 25 years and is now becoming possible through the public and private partnership with The Conservation Fund.
