Birding
Natural Tunnel State Park
276-940-2674, naturaltunnel@dcr.virginia.gov
Natural Tunnel has a birding and wildlife trail. Stock Creek Trail and other trails near the forest edge are great places for birding. It's not unusual to count more than 20 species over just a few hours. Migratory birds are common in spring and fall, of course. Spring is the best time to see warblers.
