When
March 7, 2025. 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Get outside, unplug, and reconnect with nature on a family-friendly walk in the woods!
Master Naturalist and Master Hiker Kelly Roach will lead this hike along the Farmstead Loop
Trail. We will stop to search for early signs of spring and learn about Sweet Run trees
and birds. The trail has some slight elevation changes and varied terrain, best for babies in
hiking carriers. We will return to the parking area in time to watch the sunset behind the Blue
Ridge Mountains. Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before or after the hike! The park closes at
6:30 pm. Parking fees are in effect, and you can purchase them the day of the event at the
self-pay kiosk as you enter the park. Meet Kelly at the main parking lot near the pollinator
garden at 4:00 pm.
