Beat the heat with this wonderful workshop in the cool quiet of the library! For July and August this summer, Powhatan State Park is continuing its monthly series of Nature Journaling workshops at the Powhatan County Public Library. Teens and adults are invited to deepen their connection with nature and stretch their creative muscles in this hands-on course. You'll practice collecting and recording your observations of nature in various creative ways with your journal. The workshop includes an introduction to nature journaling followed by time devoted to outside exploration, observation, and recording in your journals. Optional walking will be offered on a flat forested trail near the library.

Location: Powhatan County Library, 2270 Mann Road, Powhatan, VA 23139

What To Bring: Please bring something to write with (i.e. pencil, pen, or markers) and something to write on (i.e. blank paper or a sketchbook). You may also want to bring a collapsible chair to sit on while recording your observations outside.

Register here to let us know you're coming. We will contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
