This morning walk begins at High Bridge Station, the park's new visitor center, and continues across the full length of the iconic High Bridge. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Appomattox River Valley as the rising sun casts its golden light over the landscape.

As you walk, a ranger will share fascinating stories about the bridge’s engineering, its vital role in Civil War history, and the diverse natural ecosystems that surround it. This relaxed, scenic hike is ideal for visitors of all experience levels who are looking to connect with both nature and history.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and to bring water for the journey. Join us for a memorable morning on the trail!
