When

June 27, 2025. 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Walk with your fellow bird-lovers alongside meadow and forest to find out who is out and about! Summer brings in many far-flung visitors all the way from the tropics of Central and South America. Candy-colored birds are filling up on juicy insects as they raise their young. Our winter migrants are away in their northern summer homes, while the Virginia's year-round residents are here feeding hungry teenagers.

We recommend bringing water and binoculars if you have them. If not, the park has a few pairs to lend out. The walk will be up to one mile at a slow pace on mostly flat terrain. The trail can be muddy at times, so please dress accordingly.

Register here to let us know you're coming. We will contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
