June 16, 2025. 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park is a volunteer organization of interested citizens who actively support the park. The group works on behalf of the park by assisting in daily programs, special events, fund raising, and public education. The partnership provides a mechanism to use the skills, contacts, and resources of private citizens and businesses to improve services that may not otherwise be available. Activities include trail maintenance, summer music concerts, interpretive programs, and assisting with pontoon boat tours and school field trips, just to name a few. Regular monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month, 9:30-10:30 a.m. This month's meeting will be held in the evening from 7-8 p.m. at the park's Discovery Center. Attend a meeting and discover Smith Mountain Lake State Park through the Friends Group.
