Calling all Girl Scouts and Scout leaders! We want to invite you to come out to Seven Bends State Park to celebrate the great outdoors. Let the rangers know how we can help you complete various badges that include anything from hiking to exploring the river and learning about wildlife. The park is a great place to get outside, challenge yourself and remember you have everything it takes to lead the way!

Although rangers are happy to help complete your goals for this weekend, some of the activities you plan make take more preparation than others. Please let us know asap so we can be sure we have what you need. Contact us at sevenbends@dcr.virginia.gov to get the weekend rolling.

Every September, during Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend, Virginia State Parks offers a variety of programs to connect Girl Scouts with nature while earning badges. From guided hikes and plant identification to campfire building and backpacking basics, this special weekend helps Girl Scouts learn outdoor skills, build confidence and become advocates for the environment.
