Come on out to Chippokes State Park and discover what is left of a forgotten historic roadway on this ranger-led hike. Learn about historic transportation routes, the area's first inhabitants, speculation and myths of the road, and natural history.

This trace trail takes visitors from rolling farm fields, into canopied woodlands, up and down inclines, and to a worthwhile scenic view of the beautiful salt marshes of Chippokes.

Parking is available at the Chippoax Trail Trailhead along Chippokes Farm Road, third driveway on the right. This excursion will be approximately 2 miles, to the end of the Trace Trail and back.
