You are invited to celebrate Independence Day away from the hustle and bustle and under the peaceful night skies of the park. The park's open meadows make an ideal place to view Goochland County's fireworks show from a distance, especially for folks with audio sensitivities or mobility impairments. Bring your camp chairs, blankets, and snacks to get comfy to watch the fireworks from afar! 

Reservations are required for admission to the disability-friendly viewing area and can be made in advance at no extra cost. Space is limited, so please reserve ahead and arrive early if you're able. To make a reservation, call the Park Office at (804) 598-7148 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily or email powhatan@dcr.virginia.gov.

8 p.m. - Before the show, visit park rangers at the nature discovery table, run around with bubble wands, or decorate the pavement with sidewalk chalk!
9 p.m. - Fireworks Begin
10 p.m. - 
Fireworks End
