DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless stated otherwise, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the job announcement's close date.
Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application). We will, however, accept paper applications for some state park slots. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.
Certain positions require a criminal background check, a conflict of interest financial statement or both. Law-enforcement positions require a fingerprint-based FBI investigation. DCR is an EEO/AA/ADA Employer.

Hourly Range: $15.00 - $16.00
High Bridge Trail State Park is accepting applications for the Maintenance Ranger position. This position will be responsible for ensuring the beauty and cleanliness of the grounds which are an integral part of our visitor experience at High Bridge Trail State Park. This opportunity is great for an individual who would like to utilize their skills while connecting with their love for nature and the outdoors. The successful incumbent's attentiveness, efficiency, and commitment will ensure the park remains an enjoyable destination.
Duties include mowing, weed eating, cleaning bathrooms, trash removal, light construction, etc.; demonstrate proficiency with and safely operate string trimmers, zero turn mowers, manual tools, and saws; ensure work area is free of debris and grounds are well maintained by picking up trash and grounds; work with others in a team environment as well as sometimes work singly on projects; train to drive truck and trailer; and perform work outside in all weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

Special Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. We provide on the job training. You may be required to perform other park related duties during emergencies such as storm clean up or on a non-recurring basis such as special events.
Wage/seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 1500 hours from May 1 to April 30.
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
Selected candidate(s) will need to complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form. DCR participates in E-Verify.
