Sounds of summer: Music and concerts at Virginia State Parks
Among Virginia State Parks’ many outdoor recreation amenities, enjoying a casual evening of music with family and friends is one of the most fun and unique. With music series events happening across the state, there is something for everyone to enjoy while experiencing the park at night. Heritage Amphitheater at Pocahontas State Park
This music series in Pocahontas State Park’s Heritage Amphitheater takes place from May through October. Tickets are required and should be purchased in advance. From the Richmond Symphony to Taylor Swift and Led Zeppelin experiences, this year sees the return of some past favorites, as well as new bands.

Music by the River at Belle Isle State Park
Enjoy Music by the River at Belle Isle State Park, Songs in the Woods at Caledon State Park, Music on the Cliffs at Westmoreland State Park, Saturday Evening Showcase at Douthat State Park and Music in the Park at Hungry Mother and Occoneechee state parks.

You can find a music event at Machicomoco and Fairy Stone state parks, Judd’s Music in the Park at Smith Mountain Lake State Park with “The Friday Nite Band” and “Two Young, Two Old” as well as musical experiences at James River State Park’s Batteaux & Banjos Music Concert and Native American Cultural Drum Dance.
